I wouldn’t blame you if you did. I have been neglectful and I am sorry. Truly.

When I started this website, things were somewhat stable and I thought I could keep it going. Then I got some contract work (not writing, darn it) and was traveling a lot and then when I came back I was working late at my real job for Uncle Sam.

Then we were looking at transferring again. That is always stressful and we were stressed, believe me. I have been wearing a uniform for a long time, which means two things:

1) I get paid more because of my higher rank. Yay!

2) My choices on where to go are more limited because there are fewer of us in that pay-scale. :(

Well option three happened to us. I got advanced again. Yay! And I get to stay at the same unit just “fleet up” into the senior position. Yipee! This was great news for the family and made life so much easier.

Apparently too easy.

With so much going well in our lives, we decided to have some self induced stress and buy a house in Southern California! We hunted around and our realtor was great as we hemmed and hawed over different houses all over San Diego.

We finally moved in last month. We like the house and the neighborhood. We have unpacked about two thirds of the boxes. That is a pretty good amount for us. I don’t know if we have ever fully unpacked since our first move!

What I am trying to say is:

I am back!

I have some regularity in my life and hope to  contribute to this page weekly. Right now I am thinking Sundays. That gives me all of Saturday to convince myself that you really want to read this stuff.

If I skip a week, you can send me hate mail. I deserve it (and it shows you care!).
